Description
Polyvinyl chloride PVC is the world's third-most widely produced synthetic plastic polymer, after polyethylene and polypropylene.Polyvinyl chloride resin has a wide range of applications, such as automobile interiors, family decorative materials, advertising light box, shoe soles, PVC pipes and fittings, PVC profiles and hose, PVC sheet and plate, rolling film, inflatable toys, outdoor products, PVC wire and cable, PVC artificial leather, wood and plastic floor, corrugated board, etc.
How does PVC look like?
Pure polyvinyl chloride is a white, brittle solid. It is insoluble
in alcohol but slightly soluble in tetrahydrofuran and has two
different shapes:
1. Rigid :
Used in: construction for pipe, doors and windows, making bottles
(non-food packaging) and cards (such as bank or membership cards).
2. Flexible.
Used in plumbing, electrical cable insulation, imitation leather,
flooring, signage, phonograph records, inflatable products, and
many applications where it replaces rubber. With cotton or linen,
it is used to make canvas.
Applications:
1. PVC resin SG3 is used for soft material, pvc sheet, pvc film, leather,tubes, table cloth, tape.
2. PVC resin SG5 is general type.
Mainly used for pipe and windows structural section.
Also it can be used for electric insulation material, tubes, artificial leather.
