Description
Widely used in soft polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polystyrene,
etc.
Chlorinated paraffin is an odorless, non-toxic, flame retardant and
low-volatility viscous liquid with low volatility, good electrical
insulation, insoluble in water, ethanol, ethylene glycol and
glycerin, soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons
and chlorine. Compounds, etc. It can be used as a plasticizer for
PVC, as an additive for rubber, paints and inks, as an additive for
machined lubricants, and as a flame retardant for plastics and
rubber.
Application
Major application for Chlorinated Paraffin-52 is as a secondry plasticizer, generally used in conjunction with some primary plasticizer such as DOP, DINP, DBP, etc. It imparts a number of technical benefits to flexible PVC, out of which the most significant is the enhancement of flame retardant properties for PVC flooring and Cable. CP is also recognized as one of the most effective additives for lubricants used in a wide range of machining and engineering operations.
